I want to welcome everyone from Kind and Abell! Her home for spring is lovely with her sprigs of greenery! I am so excited to share my Spring Home Tour with you and also in conjunction with some other lovely bloggers!
The weather outside might be snowy and cold but inside we are welcoming spring! Together we are sharing how we add touches of Spring into our homes and hope you can get inspired!
Faux Plants and Rustic Containers
In the kitchen, I begin to show signs of spring decor with pottery faux plants. I try to vary the containers so it is not too matchy-matchy. From painted terracotta to concrete containers, I like the keep the feeling a bit rustic and within the same colour tones.
I am also big on faux plants. Why? My kitchen is COLD and crafty and I am a terrible pant owner. Now there are so many options for good faux plants.
Tulips and White
The dining room has this big beautiful white painted hutch and my DIY ironstone and milk glass collections. I added simple and inexpensive white tulips.
The tulips are not pure white but rather a bit of ivory but that works with my various shades of white dishes. The spot of greenery feels so much fresher!
Dollar Store Finds
My little tiered tray from Costco is one of my favourite places to decorate! A few small pots of faux plants, some mugs and a little birds nest! I also

Swags of Greenery
The easier way to add spring decor? Sprigs and swags of greenery. They can be placed on top of cupboards, on pictures frames of mirrors. I place them on one side and let them hang down and don’t worry about matching sides.
The quickest way to transform the look of any room is pillows! I am also very strategic about my pillows! They can be very expensive. Buying the cover alone can help reduce costs. I bought the pink pillow covers at Indigo book stores last fall when they were on clearance. The green pillows were also clearance items I bought in January. I used them for my winter decor. The cream pillows are my staple!! I bought them at Walmart and have been mixing and matching them since the fall with every season. The only pillow I bought new was the
Wreaths are such a great way to give a pop of colour for the season. I tried to soften this one with adding some more moss on the top of my mantle. I keep my spring decor simple here.
Vintage Green Books
Another subtle way of adding spring was some green vintage books added to the decor for more touches of green.
I hope my idea and touches of spring will inspire you and help remind you that in a few weeks the snow and winter will be gone and we will be anxiously awaiting the first sprigs of real green!!
Now head over to Rachel’s beautiful home at Cherry Street Blossoms.
I am especially nostalgic about her house because it has similar woodwork and charm as the one I grew up in! The pop of colour are exactly what our homes need to welcome the warmer weather!
